Recently voted one of America’s top Pediatricians by Consumer Reports, Dr. Miriam Mandel is also a busy mom, wife, animal lover and Cleveland enthusiast.  A native of Long Island, New York, Miriam met her husband Dr. Chet Patel in Brooklyn.  After weighing all their job offers, the couple believed that Cleveland provided the best quality of life.  Seven years later, they’re delighted how things turned out!  Daughter Anna (5), son Alex (almost 4), Hercules and Gusto (horses) and Rocky (the dog) can play outside their Chesterland home while Miriam runs the track in their amazing backyard.  After an impromptu morning dance party and preschool at The Mandel JCC (where the family’s made incredible friends), Miriam is happy to catch a yoga class before writing health-related magazine articles, scrapbooking and taking care of her horse "sons."  Cleveland also became home to Chet’s parents, who moved here from India.  Favorite family outings include trips to The Children’s Museum, The Cleveland Metropolitan Zoo, The Natural History Museum and any event at Wade Circle.  Miriam shared her story, now share yours!
