Meet Efi – who loves Cleveland weather, Cleveland sports, and a Cleveland native

Israeli Efi Golan was born in Beer Sheva, served as an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces, and launched a career in computers and technology.  While working for an Israeli company called NESS in 2001, Efi met Michelle Davis, a colleague and Beachwood, Ohio native who proofread his software development documents which were written in English.  Love blossomed over the “Snooker” table (similar to billiards) and Efi & Michelle married in 2005.  They moved to Cleveland last November so their girls, Shai (4.5) and Izzy (2.5) could experience American life and be closer to Michelle’s family. From his home in South Euclid, Efi manages a start-up Israeli company and owns several websites, including www.hayavim.co.il the largest personal financial management site in Israel.  Efi’s a regular in the Gross Schechter Day School carpool line, raves about the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and area parks, enjoys meeting friendly Clevelanders, and even loves Cleveland’s sports teams and weather!  Efi’s happily traded desert dust for “four beautiful seasons and shoveling snow,” has found a monthly “Parsha and Poker” game and is looking for the best Chinese food in town.  Send a shout out – and your Chinese food recommendation – to Efi @ www.facebook.com/#!/efi.golan.
