As a kid, Melissa lived in CA, NJ, FL, VA, and IL all before the age of 16!  Finally, her family moved to Cleveland to be with extended family and friends.  Her future husband (Lee) was one of the first friends she made. "Our mothers were childhood friends and Lee was put 'in charge' of introducing my sister and me to his friends through BBYO (he was president of his chapter and quite involved)."  Fast forward a few more years…after falling in love and deciding to marry, Melissa and Lee finished graduate school and moved from Columbus to Solon in 2003. 

Melissa is a child psychologist with her own private practice and Lee is a real estate attorney for Benesch.  Their 2 daughters (ages 3.5 and 5) attend Park Preschool and are playground connoisseurs, frequenting Preston's Hope, Solon Community Park, Turtle Park, and the Pepper Pike Park.  The Korland family loves to explore all the Metro Parks, with a fondness for Squaw Rock and Squires Castle, and can't wait for summertime at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, where their kids wear bathing suits and splash in the Hershey Children's Garden! 

In addition to being a mom, wife and professional, Melissa actively volunteers with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and her daughters' school. She connects with friends through mahj, playgroups, book clubs, and a family-based Havurah group.  For the last 5 years, Melissa has "replenished" at Camp Wise Mom's Camp.
