Description:Dr. Arthur Lavin, MD, FAAP, is a pediatrician in private practice and an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at Case Medical School in Cleveland, Ohio. He was trained and then taught at Harvard and MIT in pediatrics and newborn medicine. Dr. Lavin also received training from Drs. T. Berry Brazelton and Mel Levine and has since been in practice for more than 20 years.
Microsoft showcased Dr. Lavin’s pediatric practice, Advanced Pediatrics, in its launch of Office 2003. In 1998, Dr. Lavin accepted a U.S. government invitation to participate in an overseas health partner mission. In 2009, he represented Ohio at a special Rose Garden event with President Obama.
Dr. Lavin has served on numerous American Academy of Pediatrics national committees, helping to create standards for community pediatrics and drafting manuals to teach pediatricians about treating children with special health care needs. He has published original research in such journals as Science and wrote two books on parenting with Susan Glaser:

- Babies and Toddlers / Sleep Solutions for Dummies (Wiley, 2007)
