Description:Play it Safe is an innovative, annual, one day community event for families sponsored by National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW,CS) and Family Connections (formerly Heights Parent Center.) The goal of Play it Safe is to encourage constructive play instead of destructive play, disseminate information about the effects of violent toys and video games on children’s behavior and to promote gun safety. A diverse array of creative, fun and educational activities featuring arts, crafts, music and physical fitness are available for children and parents to engage in together. Through the generous support of various organizations and businesses in our community, all children who attend this event receive printed informational material, complimentary toys as well as their craft projects.
