A yeshiva or is an institution for the teaching of Jewish religious education. This includes Torah, Talmud, and other rabbinic literature. Yeshivas are usually associated with Orthodox Judaism, and traditionally cater to boys or men. While some there are also some yeshivas for girls and women, males and females rarely attend classes together.
In addition to classes that are available at most synagogues, Cleveland also offers several options for adults to learn about traditional Jewish law and religion. Such a learning group is often referred to as a kollel, and it provides a learning opportunity for working adults.

Telshe YeshivaNortheast Ohio is home to a very well known rabbinical college called the
Telshe Yeshiva a renowned Orthodox institution for Talmud and Torah study.
Originally founded in the town of Telz in Lithuania in 1875, the yeshiva became a hub for rabbinic education. After the fall of Lithuania to the German military in World War II, many students and faculty members fled. The yeshiva was reestablished near Cleveland.
The institution offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in theology. Typically, fewer than one hundred students enroll at the yeshiva each year.
While Telshe Yeshiva does not have a Web site, they can be reached by telephone or U.S. Mail.
