PURIM made FUN & easy!
Purim is one of the most playful Jewish holidays. It’s time to dress up in costumes and masks, eat three-cornered hamentashen (triangle shaped cookies), deliver packages to friends, and give charity to the poor. Purim is right around the corner on Saturday, March 19. Learn how to prepare for the food, fun and carnival-like celebration and check out the local Purim party scene.

Enjoy PJ Library® favorite Five Little Gefiltes by Dave Horowitz and hear how the gefiltes explore New York's Jewish landmarks yet still return to Mama Gefilte "cuz each was a mensch." Hosted by Gross Schechter Day School. 3/16 at 9:30 a.m. Free and open to the community.
- Help us reach 2,000 PJ kids by April 10! 1,920 Cleveland kids are currently receiving FREE PJ Library® books. Help us reach another 100 Cleveland kids, ages 6 months – 7 years, by the Federation’s 107th Annual Meeting. Send friends and family to this easy, online registration page.

- March 4, 9:00 a.m. "Building Character: Helping Children Navigate Interpersonal Relationships" presented by parenting experts Ruchi Koval and Kim Farkas at Agnon.
- March 5, 7:30 p.m. Casino Night at B’nai Jeshurun. (Adults only). Enjoy a night of gambling, food, silent auction and more! Admission is $25 per person and includes food, soft drinks, $10 in chips and one bingo card. Cash bar available.
- March 6 & 13, 12:30 p.m. Tea Party (on stage!) story time and "castle tour" , followed by Playmakers Youth Theatre’s performance of Beauty & The Beast.
- March 11, 8:30 a.m. Early Childhood "Shabbat Sing" (18 months – age 5) at Agnon.
- March 12-13. Maple Sugaring Days at Hale Farm & Village.
- March 12, 7:30 p.m. Ohio premiere of the documentary film, "Faces of Israel." and a discussion with the film’s producer. Hosted by Congregation Shaarey Tikvah.
- March 14, 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. Open Space: A radical approach to community dialogue. Want to be a part of great change? Join the conversation.
- March 16, 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. PJ Library Story Time at Gross Schechter Day School. Free and open to the community.
- March 19 – 20. Local Purim Happenings
- April 3, 1-6 p.m. 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament (for competitive and recreational players, ages 8-adult) at The Mandel JCC.
- SAVE THE DATE: April 24, 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Jewish Community Day at the I-X Indoor Amusement Park.
The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is launching a massive effort to assess community needs. Interviewers will be calling 1,000 randomly selected households from now through June.
