ANYTIME VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Jewish Volunteer Network (JVN)-provides meaningful direct service volunteer opportunities for the Jewish community to engage in the work of repairing the world – tikkun olam. JVN is a program of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland.

Chaplaincy- Since 1954, the Chaplaincy Program has supported a connection to the Jewish community for those who are most isolated. Findings from the Jewish Community Federation’s research studies show that some type of chaplaincy visitation was rated in the “important” or “very important” categories by 75% of nursing home residents, hospital patients and their families.

Public Education Initiative (PEI)- a program of the Community Relations Committee of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland (JCF) to further JCF’s mission of tikkun olam (healing the world). PEI began in 1999 to create more opportunities for members of the Jewish community to become involved in the life of Cleveland.

Saltzman Youth Panel- The Maurice Saltzman Youth Grant Program of the Jewish Community Federation was established in 1998 by Shirley Saltzman and her family. The program perpetuates the goals of the late Maurice Saltzman, a past president of the Jewish Community Federation. Having grown up at the Jewish Orphan Home, now Bellefaire Jewish Children's Bureau, Maurice Saltzman became a generous philanthropist and community leader who cared deeply about educating the next generation of community leadership.

Tikkun Olam Volunteers (TOV)- The Cleveland Jewish community wants to enhance the quality of life for Holocaust survivors by launching a volunteer program to provide friendly visitors (TOV Visitors) and drivers (TOV Drivers).
