School: Syracuse University
Internship: The Natural History Museum
Brynne Presser is an intern at the Natural History Museum. The museum, located on University Circle, is one gigantic educational playground that would make Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus proud. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the show was based on all the neat exhibits at the museum.
As an intern, Brynne conducts research in the physical anthropology lab, which boasts the world's largest collection of modern human skeletons. Included with these skeletons area handful of ancient mummy heads that could have been stolen from the set of Indiana Jones. Although measuring bones all day may seem boring and monotonous, Brynne is anything but that!
Brynne, a rising senior at Syracuse University, is what I consider to be the"Princess of Coventry" -- in addition to her beauty and royal grace, she is the daughter of Steve Presser, a Cleveland icon known for his community activism and ownership of Big Fun. Brynne is perhaps thebiggest advocate for local shops and businesses -- she dines exclusively at local restaurants and frequents mom and pop shops. Also, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who is more at the heart of Cleveland's social scene. Presser indicated that if there's a job for her in Cleveland, she plans on returning to her throne after graduation.

Name: Matthew Hornstein
College: Ohio State University
Internship: Levin Consulting
Matthew is an intern at Levin Consulting, an international consulting firm based in Cleveland. Their international satellite offices are in London and Shanghai. Although Matt is unable to effectively communicate in Chinese with the Shanghai office, rumor has it Matt is fluent enough in English to speak with his colleagues in London.
As an intern, Matt is in charge of conducting primary market research for high-tech products. In other words, Matt advises start-ups on where and when to launch a product by analyzing the current market. Moreover, Hornstein's job is top-secret; despite my arsenal of jedi-mind tricks, he refused to divulge any information about the project he is working on.
Matthew is a rising junior at Ohio State studying business. Hornstein has always had entrepreneurial blood coursing through his veins; At age13, Hornstein and his best friend Hal Kominsky (also a Hillel Intern)started up KH videos, a bar mitzvah video production company (MazelTov!). As a cool side-note, during our lunch interview at Corky and Lenny's, Matt was approached by a woman a table over who inquired abouthis availability to tape her daughter's bat mitzvah in May 2010. Talk about being in high demand!
Hornstein, a University School graduate and Cleveland native, plans on returning to Cleveland after graduation. With regard to the internship program, he was fascinated by the tour of E. 4th street given by its developer, Ari Maron.
